The Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) in Croatia announces a call for biblical, theological, and church-historical papers on the topic: “Evangelical Christianity: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”

The primary aim of this call is to discover and encourage authors to write and publish articles on biblical, theological, and church-historical topics within the context of evangelical theology. The call is open to authors residing in Croatia who have not yet published professional or academic articles in domestic or international journals.

Competition Rules:

1. The call is open to authors residing in Croatia who have not yet published professional or academic articles in domestic or international journals.

2. The article may address a topic, problem, or question related to the past, present, or future of evangelical Christianity and may be written from a biblical, theological, or church-historical perspective.

3. Guidelines for writing the article:

  • The article must include an introduction, a main body, a conclusion, and a list of references.
  • Length: between 3,000 and 8,000 words.
  • Only original, previously unpublished work will be accepted. Texts that have already been published in a book, journal, online portal, or on social media are not eligible (the work must not be plagiarized or self-plagiarized).

4. Submitted articles will undergo peer review. Articles that pass the review process will be published in Kairos journal in both Croatian and English.

5. Authors of articles that successfully pass the review process will receive a monetary award of €100 and a set of theological books.

6. The call is open until the end of 2025. Awards will be presented at the ETS annual meeting at the end of 2026.

7. The call is public. There is no age limit for participation. Each author must apply with their full name. A short biography (up to 100 words), residential address, email address, and phone number must be included at the end of the article.

8. The article and required information must be submitted exclusively via email to: kairos@bizg.hr. For all inquiries or questions, interested authors may contact the provided email address.

The call and award process are supported by the Biblical Institute in Zagreb and the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek.
